I couldn’t make it to Amsterdam in years, although it’s really not far from Germany. But last year in December I spontaneously did a road trip to that city in Northern Europe. If there hadn’t been this omnipresent smell of drugs I might have liked it. However, altogether I was rather disappointed by that city. I also felt a bit like visiting the Reeperbahn in Hamburg, Germany – but with shop windows… Until I could find the Christmas market I had to ask ten different people, who all tried to send me to ten different directions. Nevertheless: thanks to a cozy little bar, and an incredibly hilarious situation in a shop I like remembering that trip very much.
