This week’s picture of the week was taken in Oslo, Norway.

The Barcode Project: new high-rise buildings in Oslo near the opera house.

Despite of Oslo’s intention to be recognized as a flat, green city, the „Barcode Project“ could not be prevented. Across the street of Oslo’s opera house, you can now see several high-rise buildings, containing both offices and private condos. In my opinion the Barcode Project is the architectonical highlight of Oslo! However, I have to admit that I love high-rise buildings – especially if they look special, as they do in Oslo. From the top of the opera house you can catch amazing views on the Barcode Project, but don’t miss to also walk there and take a closer look.
