The Queen’s Royal Garden Party 2015 in Edinburgh

When the Queen had been staying in Germany I wasn’t there. But no, incidentally I was in Edinburgh when her annual Royal Garden Party was going on. After I had been wondering about all those nifty people in the city and mostly in the area around Holyroodhouse two nice ladies told me the Queen is in town – together with 8,000 invited guests who all made me feel like being at the horse run in the movie “My fair Lady”…

For about one hour I was standing at the border of a trail upwards a hill, wearing clothes way too thin for that cold wind up there, staring at the Queen’s Royal Garden Party. The reflex camera, of course, was taking a nap at the hotel room (accompanied by warmer clothes!) and so I could only take extremely bad pictures. Therefore there’s no close-up of the Queen for my friend who had always been wishing to see the Queen in real life for at least once.
